Giving Direction to Youths
The Employment Training Network CIC Motor Vehicle project was aimed towards the ‘hard to reach’ members of the community; younger people who perhaps found it difficult and/or were daunted at the prospect of returning to education. The motor vehicle project presented the opportunity for them to interact with like-minded individuals and demonstrate physical skills, like motor mechanics.

Projects like this are an excellent way to prevent anti-social behaviour, giving wayward youngsters a sense of responsibility and spread awareness of the law governing our roads. The majority of those who attended the course have since joined the ETN Employability Programme, funded by European Social Fund Grant ESF – a brilliant gateway to the job market.
